Bypass “Become A Fan To See…” Pages On Facebook – Elf Knows It [ARCHIVED]

This has got to be one of the most annoying trends bouncing around Facebook at the moment, basically you are being forced to "Become a fan" of a page to see the funny picture or text they are hiding from you. The annoying thing is that the "goodies" they have waiting for you have been flying around the Internet since the early days of chain e-mails, nothing new!

Anyway, there is a way to get around them.

With Firefox

A simple script running in the background will do the work for you and you will see the "secrets" the fan page has to offer automatically, to run the script you need to install Greasemonkey for Firefox, then install the script by clicking here.

When you visit one of these pages from now on, you won’t have to become a fan and the picture/text will be visible.

Other Browsers

For other browsers you will need to manually run a simple line of code to bypass it.

The code:

javascript:(function(){for(var t=document.getElementsByTagName("*"),l=t.length;l--;){t[l].style.visibility=""}}())

There is two ways you can run this code, by bookmarking it and simply clicking the bookmark while you are on the fan page, or you can copy and paste the code into the address bar when you are on the page you want to view.

Please note that this doesn’t work on all fan pages, but it should work on most of them.

If you have any questions let fly in the comments section below.

Enjoy 🙂
