Blog Posts A Bit Over Cooked? – Elf Knows It [ARCHIVED]

How do you like your blog posts? I can’t help but notice how much blog posts and Internet publishing has changed so much over the past couple of years, rewind back maybe 2 years ago and the secret to good blog posts, good forum topics and generally any online publishing was to use strict rules of language, structure and extreme attention to grammar!

But it seems now that the general rule that makes blog posts more enjoyable and what brings the visitor back is to be friendly and approachable, while using your own tone and spin on your words. Typing like your talking…and to be honest I love this. If I saw two articles on two blogs about the same subject and one was very strict towards wording and language from the get-go, and the other started with "Hey, you know what I really love about this?" I would pick the second one, becauase I would fee like the writer is talking to me as himself, not an Internet born, content creating robot!
