If anyone is around the Kilkenny area, you should definitely check out this show running in the Watergate Theatre over the Summer, some great musicians involved – including my Dad 🙂
Celtic Cry tells the story of the history of Ireland from the beginning of time with the arrival of the Firbolg (The Gaels) to their Irish of Destiny as was foretold to them by Moses. The show dramatises Ireland’s history with music, song & dance stories of the land of Tir na nOg, Queen Mebh (the great warrior queen), Cu Chulainn (an Dearg Doom), the mighty Fianna Warriors, the Tain Bo Culailgne, the High Kings of Ireland, Brian Boru and his battle with the Vikings at the Battle of Clontarf and much more!
Singer,songwriter Martin Brennan began writing original material for the Celtic Cry show in 2010. Now with the help of musical director John Travers and a cast of international musicians, has created a show for all nationalities and ages.
Performance dates are as follows:
July: 4th, 5th, 11th, 12th, 18th, 19th
August: 1st, 2nd, 22nd, 23rd, 29th, 30th
