Big Brother is Watching You – Elf Knows It [ARCHIVED]

Or should that be YOU’RE watching Big Brother?
With the start of the 9th Series of Big Brother UK today, I have yet to see what the fuss is all about? I will admit, it was good fun at the start, I never followed it properly but used to watch it on occasion back around series 3, because back then it was just a few normal people acting like themselves and it was good fun to see what they would get up to, But now it’s all about how the producers can find the weirdest of the weird, stick them in a house and make them look like complete fools with pointless tasks that would make any sane person jump for their remote!, The only thing to wonder about now is which one of them (or few) will be end up on the list of (What are they famous for again) celebs, I know for a fact I’ll be staying clear of it this year, because I don’t want to be put in a situation where slamming my size 13 into my TV screen is a seriously tempting offer! But there’s no escaping the endless babble of who kissed who, and “I held hands with such contestant when we where 12”, But avoiding the papers isn’t an option, I like my daily dose of the sports news and my horoscope! 😉 When will the madness end??

For those who don’t know!
What is Big Brother
Big Brother a reality television show. In each series, which lasts for around three months, a number of people (normally fewer than fifteen at any one time) live together full-time in the “Big Brother House”, isolated from the outside world but under the continuous gaze of television cameras. The roommates try to win a cash prize by avoiding periodic, usually publicly-voted, evictions from the house. The idea for “Big Brother” came during a brainstorm session at the production house of John de Mol Produkties (an independent part of Endemol) on Thursday, September 4, 1997. The first Big Brother broadcast was in the Netherlands in 1999 on the Veronica TV channel. It has been a prime-time hit in almost 70 different countries. The show’s name comes from George Orwell’s 1949 novel Nineteen Eighty-Four, in which Big Brother is the leader of the dystopian Oceania.

So that’s my rant on Big Brother out of the way, personally I could of kept going for longer but if I keep at it I’ll be going through a rate of 3 keyboards a minute!
